Need for a SharePoint Consultant to work in a staff augmentation role in support of the migration of existing SharePoint 2010 sites, applications and other document storage solution applications to SharePoint Online. This individual will operate as the liaison between the divisions. The consultant will be required to perform standard duties, and should have prior experience managing SharePoint migration projects.

Work activities

  • Design the integration architecture for SharePoint 2010 on premise migration to SharePoint Online
  • Automate processes and perform systems management tasks using PowerShell and other migration tools
  • Migrate existing sites, applications and other document storage solutions to SharePoint Online
  • Implement best practices and governance procedures for SharePoint solutions
  • Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives
  • Work closely with OIT SharePoint Administrator in defining and implementing solutions.
  • Train users on newly created sites
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/experience REQUIRED of the assigned staff:

  • Extensive experience with migration of existing SharePoint 2010 on premise sites to SharePoint Online
  • 5+ years of SharePoint architecture expertise, including taxonomy design, remote site provisioning, SharePoint search, security, workflow and specialized web parts.
  • Experience developing SharePoint Online environments
  • Experience configuring new applications in the SharePoint Online environment
  • Experience implementing data governance procedures for SharePoint environments
  • Experience in user training for SharePoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills that will foster collaboration between stakeholders, technical team, management and end users
  • Extensive project planning experience
  • Knowledge in industry best practices, migrations, and scripting tools that are utilized in SharePoint.
  • Completion of a Bachelor s degree program at an accredited college or university with a major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field AND Minimum of 5-7 years SharePoint experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable
