Job Description

 DESCRIPTION:

  • Solid PL/SQL knowledge and Unix Scripting. Developing and debugging of stored procedures, functions, triggers, views etc
  • Review and Apply Database software patches
  • Manage Database security using Oracle Internet Directory OID -
  • Manage and Implement Oracle Data Guard for Logical standby and Physical standby databases
  • Configure and monitor daily backup processes
  • Troubleshoot client DBMS connectivity issues
  • Interface with DBMS vendor on technical support issues
  • Creation and tuning of DBMS data queries.
  • Perform Application tuning and performance monitoring (example: SQL/code/index tuning) Perform table and index reorganization as required)
  • Provide DBMS-related assistance/troubleshooting/solution to application team
  • Propose new strategies and ideas related to data performance and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot client software and SQL issues, log and track trouble tickets
  • Disaster recovery planning and implementation.
