Description:
Hands on experience in Hadoop - Spark, Hive, HDFS, Scala, Unix shell scripting
Strong SQL skills
Experience in designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting Big Data Clusters Spark/Kafka
Design Implementing ETL process for integration of data from disparate sources
Cloud Experience is a plus
Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles and practices
Read, extract, transform, stage and load data to multiple targets, including Hadoop and other databases Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
Migrate existing data processing from standalone or legacy technology scripts to Hadoop framework processing.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks/initiatives with multiple deadlines
Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
Experience on Insurance industry is a plus
Big Data certification is a plus
