Working with the Data Office to identify and document data sources and data elements that are important for business, including all intake, storage, processing and transmission of the data, both internal & external

Hands-on experience in different file transfer methodologies and different file types and layouts such as csv, txt, XML etc.

Hands-on experience in extracting, manipulating and categorizing complex healthcare data and producing accurate output

Documenting data flows relevant to a business unit

Data quality assurance

  • Establish data-quality metrics and requirements
  • Define the values, ranges and parameters that are acceptable for each data element
  • Establish procedures for detection and correction of data- quality issues
  • Collaborate to establish policies, procedures and internal controls affecting the quality of data
  • Engage in the ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality including identification of anomalies and discrepancies, identifying root cause(s), and implementing corrective measures

Documentation and Analytics Capabilities

Documenting all reporting requirements for a business unit

Establish procedures for detection and correction of data- quality issues

Collaborate to establish policies, procedures and internal controls affecting the quality of data

Engage in the ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality including identification of anomalies and discrepancies, identifying root cause(s), and implementing corrective measures

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required in this Position

Strong technical knowledge regarding data, metadata, and data standards

Excellent technical documentation and communication skills

Databases, SQL, and data modeling basics

Knowledge of healthcare data
