Job Description
  • Estimate staff and time required to complete programming assignments
  • Review and evaluate daily/weekly/monthly job schedules and performance
  • Designing, developing and modifying of in-house developed application programs both interactive and batch
  • Debugging problems in application programs both on and off hours
  • Documenting all programming code and report production procedures
  • Assisting/advising individual users in identifying and solving technical problems
  • General system problem solving
  • Follow up with users following and during system implementation
  • Providing information to users and other members of IT staff as needed for projects
  • Learn new programming languages and techniques
  • Support vendor purchased applications and provide customization where needed
  • Support SQL Server databases, including creating databases with tables and views
  • Create and maintain Web Services to transmit and receive data from SUNYDMC
  • Support the Budget application, including upgrades and write reports using ERP system
  • Serve as point of contact for Budget application
  • Work with .net, VB and other competency tools to develop more reporting systems
