- Work with the business to collect and translate business insight, ideas and concepts into clearly defined requirements for system design and improvements.
- Acts as liaison between business partners, IT software development teams and support teams
- Develop comprehensive understanding of the business processes and develop a strong working rapport with business users.
- Leads or participates in IT projects to coordinate and assist the technical efforts of other IT groups and / or external vendors to ensure the effective development, modification, testing and implementation of systems.
- Develop, prepare and execute test cases for software modifications or new systems
- Provides application support to the user community
- Participate in the month-end and quarter-end financial close cycles
- Perform KPI reporting, data query and analysis, as required or requested by the business.
- Work cross-functionally among all groups and all levels of management in the organization while collaborating with ETO and other shared services to implement company standards and solutions as needed
- Participate in Service Desk function to resolve user related support calls
- Provide on-call and off-hours support as necessary to ensure proper functioning of business processes.
- Ensure compliance to Thermo Fisher IT Policies and Guidelines
- Maintain security compliance with Thermo Fisher Security Directives
- Remain technically competent with current industry leveraging all available resources
