Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

          In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting all SAP-related systems which touches almost every facet of our global company. As a Basis Adminstrator, each day is completely new and different so you'll never experience a dull moment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade, performance tune, and troubleshoot ERP database servers
  • Interface with other infrastructure and support teams such as server administration
  • Manage database backups and the recovery process. Update databases as required
  • Responsible for configuring High Availability and Disaster Recovery (DR) while working closely with the Business Continuity Team
  • Perform DR testing for the ERP Landscape
  • Research and implement solutions for database functionality in the areas of performance monitoring and tuning, systems configurations, and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server

Required Skills:

  • Provide support and maintenance for daily administrative tasks including transports, OSS notes, performance monitoring, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Function as a point of contact for production ERP database-related issues
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all assigned server environments
  • Keep management up-to-date on any outstanding production related issues
  • Advise and assist other database administrators
  • Provide written technical and process documentation for support personnel, internal/external customers, and management
