Job Description

TIAG is now hiring Junior Software Developer to join our team in support of a new program at the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in Arlington, VA. Candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance to be considered.

The Junior Software Developer will assist the Office of Naval Research team by providing software development and application support services. The Developer must have the ability to create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coding, testing, debugging, implementing and documenting programs
  • Gather information from existing systems, analyze program and time requirements
  • Assist project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks
  • Support project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems
  • Work with client and management to resolves issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility
  • Provide technical advice on complex programming
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in communicating functional and technical requirements to the mid and junior developers and facilitate the development of solutions
  • Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews, testing, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience
  • IAT Level I certifications, including:
    • Baseline certification (e.g. Security+, Network+, or A+)
    • Computing Environment certification (e.g. MCP, agile certification, etc.)
  • Active Secret Clearance or current interim
  • Experience with Java and/or .NET development, or other modern web technologies
